Advancing Veteran Wellness Through Research, Technology, and Prevention Innovation
A statewide institute dedicated to ending veteran suicide through evidence-informed research, technology-enabled engagement, and systemic prevention partnerships across Massachusetts.
THE PROBLEM
Veteran suicide, isolation, and disconnected systems.
Veterans face a mental health crisis compounded by fragmented care systems, inadequate early intervention tools, and a culture that discourages help-seeking. The consequences are devastating and preventable.
MVSPI was founded to change this - not with a single program, but with a coordinated ecosystem of research, technology, and human connection.

Why MVSPI Exists
Prevention begins long before crisis
“Veteran suicide is not inevitable. It is the result of gaps in data, in connection, and in coordinated care that we are built to close.”
MVSPI operates at the intersection of research rigor and human compassion. We study what works, build what's needed, and train those on the front lines to act before crisis becomes tragedy.
